Why It's Useful

Twitter doesn't allow you to send a DM (direct message) to someone who isn't already following you. Normally, this is not a problem because friends typically follow each other. The alternative is to use an @reply message but this is a public message. Tweetagram helps deliver a message to a recipient who isn't following you without it ever becoming public.

How It Works

You send a DM to @tweetagram with the recipient and the message.

D tweetagram @joesmith Hi Joe, I'm interested in the job opening you tweeted about. Still available?

Tweetagram sends a message to the recipient that a message is available.

@joesmith New message available for you. Follow @tweetagram to receive your message. See http://tweetagram.com for more info.

Once the recipient follows Tweetagram, your original message is delivered.

From @yourname: Hi Joe, I'm interested in the job opening you tweeted about. Still available?

What Does It Cost?

Beta Bonus! For a limited time, all new users (even on the free plan) will get 1 free credit. Send your first tweetagram for nothing!

Each Tweetagram costs between $0.20 and $1.00 to send (depending on plan). If the Tweetagram cannot be delivered (because the recipient does not pick up the message), then the charge is reversed. Additionally, a free Tweetagram credit is given to the recipient when they first receive a message.
